Round Rock, TX, January 10, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) members can start taking advantage of the association’s educational webinars at no additional cost effective January 1, 2013. The association’s board of directors voted to include the free webinars as a benefit of membership. Until now, members paid a nominal fee of $25 for most of the educational webinars offered with only a select few available free of cost. Previously recorded webinars are also available for free to members in good standing. “We want to make it as easy as possible for members to access the education they might need to run a successful self storage business in Texas,” said TSSA board president Mark A. Skeans.
The webinar topics available for immediate viewing on the association’s website range from customer service to phone sales, from legal topics to operations, and from online marketing and reputation management to tips for increasing revenue. Plans are underway to offer as many as 11 new educational webinars in 2013. “We strive to focus on topics members tell us are important to them,” said TSSA Executive Director Ginny Sutton. “These archived webinars exist strictly to educate members, not to sell anything to them.”
TSSA education committee chairman Clint Wynn noted that “At a time when other groups are increasing dues or eliminating services, TSSA has instead opted to add value to the membership benefits by offering free educational webinars as a member-only benefit at no additional cost.” Information about membership is available online at www.txssa.org
. A list of current webinars can be found under the Events/Education section of the site.
Other TSSA educational offerings in 2013 will include podcasts, two legal seminars scheduled for February 22 in San Antonio and March 28 in Dallas, the increasingly popular Executive Retreat in June, as well as the annual multi-day convention in The Woodlands on October 27-29.
