CPX Interactive Sponsors Entrepreneurship Competition at Hofstra University
New York, NY, March 20, 2013 --( CPX Interactive and Hofstra University are hosting an entrepreneurship competition in Spring 2013, challenging Hofstra students to develop successful businesses, even while pursuing their bachelor’s degrees. In support of this pet project of CPX CEO, Mike Seiman, CPX Interactive executives will assist in judging and will award a $50,000 first prize and a $25,000 second place prize.

Seiman is an alumnus of Hofstra who graduated with a computer science degree in 2001. Having started the earliest stages of his digital media company while still a Hofstra undergrad, Seiman has always kept the school close to his heart.

CPX Interactive has since grown into a 90-person company with global reach, serving 4.5 billion online ad impressions per day. Earlier this year, after more than 10 years as a Long Island based company with offices in close proximity to the Hofstra campus, the company moved its headquarters to Times Square, NYC.

“Hofstra University was an essential factor in my success,” said Seiman, who was recently honored by LIBN as one of Long Island’s ‘40 Under 40.’ “We are pleased to reward the hard work of current Hofstra students by celebrating the successes of those who win the competition and we are hopeful that this challenge will inspire even more entrepreneurship among Hofstra graduates.”
