Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with Team in Training Announce a Gala Evening & Fund Raiser at Ray's Boathouse, Seattle on 29th May. Keynote Speaker - Anna Cummins.
LLS Gala Evening & Fund Raiser featuring Anna Cummins Gold Medalist, Women's 8+ Rowing 2008 Beijing Olympics. Ms Cummins will speak in support of the first ever rowing crew for Team in Training, a fund raising branch of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. TNT Rowers are training for The Masters Regional Rowing Championships & raising donations so those with blood cancers may better their lives. Anna Cummins & '08 Olympic Crew will be inducted to the National Rowing Foundation Hall of Fame 05/31/14.
The Gala Evening will feature talks given by Anna Cummins, a two time Olympiad for Women's 8+ Rowing (Athens '04 - Silver, Beijing '08 - Gold) Dr. Erik Brand, Sports Medicine Physician and Wilma Comenat, LLS Deputy Executive Director. The Ron Rockman Band will entertain with live Jazz & Blues music. A cash bar will be available all evening. Tickets for the drawing are $1.00 each. There are many wonderful gifts and prizes such as: An Aveda Facial Party for 5 at the Alderwood Mall Aveda salon, An Elements Greenlake Hour Long Massage, Accent on Appearances Salon Services, Dinner & Drinks at the Stumbling Goat in Ballard just to name a few, there are so many more!
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is a is a non-profit organization which provides funding to support research for blood cancers, provides needed assistance to blood cancer patients and their families and also gives support to the advocacy of relevant local and governmental issues.
