Novus Origo Awarded Digital Health Award for Development of Veteran’s Training Course
San Diego, CA, August 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Novus Origo (www.novusorigo.com), has been selected as a winner in the 17th annual Digital Health Awards(SM) program, a competition that recognizes the world’s best digital health resources. The panel of distinguished experts in digital health media chose Novus Origo’s training course from more than 600 entries.

Novus Origo’s winning course is an interactive web-based behavioral health training course for Veterans, Anger & Irritability Management Skills (AIMS). The content for AIMS (www.veterantraining.va.gov/aims/) was developed by behavioral experts and is based on 20+ years of working with Veterans. It provides support for Veterans who may have mental or behavioral health concerns, and features video production and training scenarios from real Veterans who have had anger issues and benefited from the course. Team Novus Origo developed the AIMS web-based training for the Department of Veterans Affairs to assist Veterans in better understanding their strengths and weaknesses, defining anger trigger points, identifying goals, and formulating personal plans that can be implemented to confidently identify and manage demanding anger situations.

“We were delighted to participate in the 2015 Digital Health Awards competition, and are honored to be selected as a winner,” said Paul Cevolani, Novus Origo CEO. “The AIMS course was a very complex training course to produce, and as a Veteran owned company knowing that we are helping our fellow Veterans gives us a deep feeling of satisfaction.”

“Our Team of Instructional Designers, Videographers, Graphic Artists, and Web Developers worked tirelessly to create a free five (5) hour web based training course that gives our fellow Veterans a new tool to combat anger while preserving their privacy and anonymity,” said Olen Pepple, Novus Origo COO. “If we can help even one Veteran, this will all be worth the effort.”

The Digital Health Awards(SM) program is organized by the Health Information Resource Center(SM) (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields. Other well-known HIRC programs include the annual National Health Information Awards(SM), which annually recognizes the nation’s best non-digital consumer health programs and materials, and two national “Fitness Day” events: The annual National Women’s Health & Fitness Day® (www.fitnessday.com/women) and the annual Family Health & Fitness Day USA® (www.fitnessday.com/family).
