International Players Tour Launches 2008 Inaugural Season

Ron Beaman, founder of both the Champions Golf Tour and American Challenge Golf Tour, announces formation of a new tour with 200+ events in multiple divisions including scratch and net competition, as well as an enhanced Senior Tour Division in 2008

Saginaw, TX, January 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The International Players Tour (IPT) is off and running. This significant announcement continues the exciting journey of the IPT leadership team, led by Ron Beaman, and their history of successfully executing competitive golf events spanning nearly ten years with the mission of providing passionate golfers of all skill levels with a place to compete.

Charities will also be winners with the new tour. As Beaman stated today, “IPT will demonstrate our long-standing personal commitment to support charities and other not-for-profit organizations. Initially, this focus will center on two very deserving groups with significant needs: breast cancer survivors and the families of war veterans who have died in service to our country.”

IPT will begin 2008 with multiple divisions across ten USA metro markets with planned aggressive expansion, in both North America and the international golf community:

1. Net & Scratch Divisions – IPT will execute nearly 200 events in up to 15 cities in the U.S. utilizing scratch (gross) and handicap (net) scoring formats for both male and female non-professional golfers. The season concludes with the 2008 Tour Championship where the net player winner’s share will be $20,000.

2. Senior Tour Division - IPT will execute 18-20 events throughout the system for professional golfers aged 47 and over, culminating with the 2008 Senior Tour Championship where the winner will capture an estimated $10,000 prize.

IPT will deliver close to $1,000,000 in 2008 prize money to avid golfers around the globe. Beaman adds, “A $20,000 first place check in our Net Division Tour Championship clearly raises the bar in net competition. We’re looking forward to providing our members the highest quality experience to be found anywhere in this business.”

About International Players Tour
International Players Tour (operated by prior management of Champions Golf Tour (CGT) and American Challenge Golf Tour (ACGT) was launched in January 2008. The Champions Golf Tour was founded by Ron Beaman in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in April 2002. Ron developed a business model that would provide avid recreational golfers a chance to play in an environment similar to major tour events – “inside the ropes” for significant prize money – utilizing a proprietary handicap system. After conducting its first event in June, 2002, CGT followed with 17 tournaments its first season and awarded nearly $60,000 in prize money. Significant and sustained growth has occurred in subsequent years in player participation, number of events, and prize money. With over 1000 players in their system, the IPT management team conducted over 150 events in 2007 within ten state and twelve metropolitan city areas, with total payouts exceeding $570,000. “The Model that Works” is now being adopted effectively and implemented successfully in multiple cities, with projected expansion into 5-10 new markets each year – including international locations - through a unique licensing program.

In addition, IPT has created a 2008 Senior Tour Division schedule that includes 18-20 events across the USA. The Senior Tour Division provides playing opportunities for seniors (age 47+) with aspirations for competition on the PGA or Champions Tour or for those otherwise wishing to maintain their level of competition for significant purses.
