Posse Foundation Gala Celebrates 30 Years, Features Chaka Khan and Lesley Stahl


Lesley Stahl will preside at the 2019 Posse Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019), the Foundation announced today. The annual gala is expected to raise $3 million to help public high school students with extraordinary leadership potential.

New York, NY, May 22, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Lesley Stahl will preside at the 2019 Posse Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019), the Foundation announced today. The annual gala is expected to raise $3 million to help public high school students with extraordinary leadership potential.

The gala will feature a performance by Chaka Khan.

Guests will include Motorola CEO Greg Brown, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Chairman and CEO Richard D. Fain, Infor CEO Charles Phillips, Metropolitan Museum of Art CEO Daniel Weiss and NBA Cleveland Cavaliers General Manager Koby Altman (a Posse alumnus), and former New York City Mayor David Dinkins.

Over the past 30 years, Posse partner colleges and universities have provided more than $1.4 billion in scholarships to students across the nation.
