New “fasting to Feed” Campaign Launches During the Month of Ramadan

New “fasting to Feed” Campaign Launches During the Month of Ramadan
Baltimore, MD, May 26, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Humanity First USA (HFUSA), with the support of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, is launching its Fasting to Feed campaign during the final 10 days of Ramadan this year through June 6, 2019, in an effort to help Americans suffering from hunger.

By fasting for over 16 hours a day during this month, all Muslims get a small taste of hunger, which gives many a realization of the pain endured by millions of starving fellow human beings. But unlike many who go on to enjoy their favorite foods after breaking their fast in the evening, millions do not have the luxury of having even a meal every day.

With a vision to make America hunger free, HFUSA's Food Security program seeks to reduce hunger and food wastage, provide food to our communities and raise awareness about food insecurity. During our Fasting to Feed campaign, HFUSA urges everyone to make a donation worth the value of one meal to feed a hungry stomach. Supporters from other faiths can also try to experience a day of fasting or skip a meal and donate the cost of that meal to feed children, mothers, and elders who are suffering because of hunger in America.

The Fasting to Feed campaign will support not only HFUSA’s 14 food pantries and three soup kitchens across the US but also many partner food banks and pantries in several cities.

The goal is to raise $100,000 during the 10 days of this campaign. Donations can be made at https://tinyurl.com/fasting2feed.
