Ki Cordless Kitchen Standard to Showcase the Kitchen of the Future at IFA 2026

Ki Set to Raise the Bar in Kitchen Innovation at IFA

Washington, DC, September 03, 2026 --(PR.com)-- The new Ki Cordless Kitchen Standard from the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), creators of Qi, the global standard for mobile wireless charging, will revolutionize cooking and kitchen design by eliminating the need for power cords and outlets. Ki will make food preparation and cooking more convenient, safer, and smarter. At IFA 2026 in Berlin, industry, media and consumers will have two opportunities to see Ki in action.

On September 7, Ki will be a featured innovation in the IFA Smart Living Summit as the showcase technology in one of the Summit’s breakout sessions - Spotlight Case Study: Wireless Power and the Future of Smart Kitchens. The presentation will describe Ki’s unique features, how Ki will transform cooking and food preparation, and how embedded wireless power will unlock new designs in kitchens and kitchen appliances. IFA visitors can attend the presentation beginning at 11:50 AM on September 7 on the IFA Dream Stage in Hall 25. A panel discussion including Ki and other smart living kitchen innovations will follow the presentation at 12:40 PM, also on the IFA Dream Stage in Hall 25.

From September 5-7, Ki products will be demonstrated in the Resillion booth located in the IFA Global Markets area, booth H26c-112. Resillion is one of the two Authorized Test Labs for Ki certification testing. Resillion also manufactures test equipment to enable companies in developing Ki appliances and ensuring those appliances are fully compliant with the Ki specifications.

“The Smart Living Summit and the Ki demonstration in Resillion’s IFA booth will be excellent opportunities for companies considering developing Ki-enabled appliances or component parts to learn more and get up to speed with development of the Ki standard”, stated WPC Executive Director Paul Struhsaker. “The level of interest we saw in 2026 with Ki demonstrations at CES, KBIS and EuroCucina was truly astounding. With the first Ki specification already launched and further interesting features like smart cooking soon being integrated into the standard, companies who want to become leaders in this exciting new market, including kitchen architects and smart cookware designers, will find Ki’s presence at IFA to be timely and informative.”
