New in Branson - The Visitor Choice Awards
Branson, MO, June 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- For the first time ever, Branson area visitors will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite shows, restaurants, shopping and attractions. Area favorites will be recognized with The Visitor Choice Awards sponsored by The Vacation Channel’s www.ViewBranson.com.

Since 1989, The Vacation Channel has provided the information tourists depend on to make the best use of their time and money while visiting Ozark Mountain Country. Now the area’s “televised tour guide” is giving visitors the chance to be heard, voice their opinion, and help their favorite businesses receive the recognition they deserve.

“No one knows better than our guests, which hospitality and entertainment businesses best meet their needs for outstanding service, quality entertainment and exceptional value,” stated Scott Earls, owner and general manager of The Vacation Channel, Inc. “Now it will be easy for visitors to vote for what they like best of all and for those most popular venues to be recognized and rewarded for their efforts.”

All voting for The Visitor Choice Awards takes place on-line. Ballots are tabulated by an outside company that specializes in data collection and management. Visitors (and residents alike) simply go to www.ViewBranson.com and click The Visitor Choice Award link to vote. One ballot per computer, per month, is allowed. And visitors may choose up to three favorites in each of the four categories: Shows, Shopping, Restaurants and Attractions. Voters will also have an opportunity to write-in votes for any business not listed on the ballot. Voting is underway now and will conclude at midnight, September 30, 2009.

The Vacation Channel, Inc. is Branson’s locally owned and operated television station that has provided quality vacation and weather information and award-winning locally produced programs since 1989. Broadcast on channel 38, and carried on several cable systems, The Vacation Channel serves Taney and Stone counties in the lakes region, and the communities of Ozark, Nixa, and Highlandville in Christian County. The Vacation Channel’s www.ViewBranson.com provides the same trusted information visitors have come to rely on, on-line and on-demand to a worldwide audience.
