Active Heroes Launched iPhone App
Louisville, KY, April 30, 2013 --( Active Heroes has collaborated with Rocksauce Studios: an App Development Company in Austin, Texas to create an app to help expand and enrich their mission. With help from Stay Classy, an online fundraising tool: Active Heroes and Rocksauce Studios successfully completed their mission of creating a handheld tool where individuals and teams can raise awareness and funds to help military families by participating in a wide range of activities.

“We love to see nonprofits creatively leveraging our platform to deliver more personalized experiences to their supporters. And we think that’s exactly what Active Heroes has achieved with this new app,” said COO of Stay Classy, Todd Crutchfield.

The Mission of Active Heroes is to strengthen military families, serve veterans and benefit active duty military by providing financial support and community reintegration. Active Heroes is dedicated to connecting and helping America’s military families through financial assistance, active challenges, leadership training and community outreach to halt the triggering point and stress associated with “hard times” that lead to suicide.

To celebrate the completion and launch of the Active Heroes App, Steven Walker of Rocksauce Studios logged one of the first activities within the app at SkyDive Temple in Temple, Texas. (Video Here)

"Active Heroes is excited to release the iPhone app!” says Troy Yocum, Founder of Active Heroes Now "our fundraisers can do amazing activities to spread the word about the plight of military families while raising funds to help. We are looking forward to seeing people hike, run, surf, snowshoe and more to join Active Heroes in this movement." To date: Active Heroes has helped over 1800 Military Families, veterans, and wounded warriors with financial support.
