Eskom Partners with CT Lab to Increase Quality of Electricity Supply

Cape Town, South Africa, October 01, 2016 --( CT Lab, the global leader in power quality management, today concluded an agreement with Eskom Holdings in South Africa to supply power quality instruments and management services to all nine provinces in South Africa.

The demand for heightened reliability by modern mission-critical applications has resulted in companies placing greater emphasis power quality equipment and services worldwide. “Consistent high-quality electricity supply has a multiplier effect on a region’s competitiveness in the new economy, as innovation-driven companies integrate with data centres and exploit new technologies at an increasing rate,” says Willie van Wyk, CEO of CT Lab. The monitoring and analysis of electrical network performance today forms an important part of day-to day business within modern utilities and industry.

The three-year Eskom agreement will supply critical designated Eskom outlets with highly specialised and unique power quality instruments and power quality monitoring consultancy services. This will enable Eskom to monitor, manage and improve the quality and services of electricity supply in South Africa to enable Eskom to comply with the latest international power quality standards.

CT Lab is a South African technology company founded in 1993 by the CEO Willie van Wyk. From its base in Stellenbosch the company provides power quality technology instruments and management tools to clients in the rest of Africa, Australia and Europe.
