Nonsurgical Blepharoplasty Featured at Multi-Specialty Foundation Meeting

LaserTight LLC Showcases New Devices and Procedures to Meet Growing Demand for Minimally Invasive Procedures.

Marlton, NJ, June 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- LaserTight LLC is showcasing their latest non-surgical blepharoplasty device, EyeTight, to the plastic, dermatologic, ophthalmic, and general surgeons attending the Multi-Specialty Foundation Meeting being held this weekend in Las Vegas, NV.

Dermatologic surgeon, Hale E. Hedley of Aelan Cosmetic Center in Jacksonville, FL, explains that the EyeTight is a new procedure for nonsurgical lower lid laser blepharoplasty. “EyeTight incorporates 980 nanometer laser energy delivered through a customized 20 gauge endoprobe to vaporize fat cells. The procedure is performed using local anesthesia and is completed within 15 minutes. There is minimal downtime for the patient, and skin tightening continues for 6 to 8 weeks post procedure.”

Hadley reports he has performed approximately 10 EyeTight procedures in addition to the 15 LaserTight procedures, which include BodyTight and ChinTight. “The results are great and will continue to improve due to the longer term skin tightening effect of the LaserTight technology,” says Hadley.

According to a LaserTight spokesperson, surgeons’ demand for new technology will increase in proportion to the ever increasing patient demand for minimally invasive procedures. “The EyeTight, which is FDA cleared for lower lid blepharoplasty, is but one of the devices we offer to meet the demands of both groups.”

Statistics published in The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery’s (ASAPS) latest study support LaserTight’s claim. ASAPS reports that 11.7 million surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures were performed in the United States in 2007. Surgical procedures accounted for nearly 18% of the total with nonsurgical procedures making up 82% of the total.
