Creation Technologies to Open Additional New Facility in California

Leading electronics manufacturer grows to meet customer demand in Silicon Valley & Southwestern USA.

Burnaby, Canada, July 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Creation Technologies, a North American Top-10 and Global Top-25 Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider, today announced the opening of its second facility in Silicon Valley. The manufacturing plant has been built to meet the growing demand of existing customers and the demand of new customers.

“We have long viewed the California market as key and are delighted to be strengthening our footprint in the region to support and grow our customer base,” said President & Chief Executive Officer, Arthur Tymos. “The region's economic environment and sophisticated, progressive OEMs will enable us to continue to expand on our core capabilities in growth markets such as Medical Diagnostics, Communications, and Environment & Security. I believe it is our exceptional team of people in the Bay area and their dedication to flexibility and responsiveness to our customers’ needs that has enabled us to stay strong and grow in the challenging economic conditions over the past few years.”

The new plant more than doubles Creation Technologies’ manufacturing capacity in Silicon Valley. Opening July 2012, the custom-built facility is located at 1873 Barber Lane in Milpitas, and boasts over 79,000 square feet of space.

“In 2011 we welcomed several new customers into our existing Santa Clara business unit and almost doubled our revenues. We are extremely excited to be building a new facility with the space and capacity to meet our commitment to both current and future customers,” said David Longshore, General Manager, Creation Technologies—Santa Clara.

“In addition, having more floor space allows us to further deploy our Lean Thinking In Action philosophy through improved product, materials and information flow for our Customer-Focused Teams. Creation Technologies would like to thank the City of Milpitas, our valued customer suppliers and contractors as well as our dedicated Creation team members for helping us take this exciting next step in our future.”

Creation Technologies has been providing EMS services to California and the Southwestern USA since 2006 with the acquisition of Asemtec, Inc. This was followed by a broadening of its footprint in 2008 with the acquisition of ProWorks, Inc. Currently providing total electronics solutions for 20 California- and Arizona-based OEMs, Creation Technologies Santa Clara’s diverse expertise includes such products as Traffic Network Control Servers, Semiconductor Automatic Test Equipment, LED Lighting Systems, Medication Management Systems, and High-Performance WiMax Stations. The business unit is ITAR, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 certified.

The company’s second California location comes on the heels of its 18,000 square foot expansion in its Mississauga business unit, a 11,000 square foot expansion in its Dallas business unit, and its move into a new 75,000 square foot building in Changzhou, China. In November 2011, Creation Technologies also significantly enhanced its Design Services offering through the acquisition of the design, product development and manufacturing group of Quest Product Development Corporation of Arvada, Colorado.
