Madison, WI, October 29, 2019 --(PR.com
)-- This Halloween, Wonderfilled Inc.’s Game Designers Stephen E. Dinehart and James M. Ward will perform the first public playtest of their new mixed-reality, role-playing game, and future game park, GiantLands. Playthrough will take place at Wisconsin’s Gamehole Con on Thursday, October 31 and explore the core game inside GiantLands’ original universe to an almost sold-out crowd.
Convention guests with event tickets will join GiantLands’ creators Thursday, Oct. 31 through Saturday, Nov. 2. Each day offers a different session, including a morning playthrough on Thursday at 10 a.m., a “Mature” evening session on Friday at 7 p.m. and a final official playtest with Ward on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gamehole Con admission tickets are required in addition to GiantLands playthrough registration, and can be purchased on the convention’s events page at Gameholecon.com
GiantLands is an immersive, mixed-reality live-action world designed to bring the cutting edge of immersive role-playing games back home to the state of Wisconsin where franchises like Dungeons & Dragons, Gamma World, Star Frontiers and the RPG itself were first created by TSR. With GiantLands, Wonderfilled Inc. is leading the next generation of location-based entertainment through live events and the future creation of a GiantLands game park.
“Our current goal is to open the park based on GiantLands in 2022,” said Wonderfilled Founder and Game Designer Dinehart. “But you don’t have to wait that long -- become a Patreon supporter or keep an eye out for our 2020 Kickstarter campaign to preorder the boxed board game, or attend live playthrough events like Gamehole Con to start playing now.”
GiantLands is Wonderfilled Inc.’s first internal project under Dinehart (Evermore Park, Universal’s Super Nintendo World, Company of Heroes, F.E.A.R. 3) and game designer James Ward (TSR’s Dungeons & Dragons, Gamma World) and artist Larry Elmore (Dungeons & Dragons, Star Frontiers, Dragonlance).
GiantLands is currently offering Patreon membership in exchange for current and future exclusive perks, content and merchandise. Preorders for the GiantLands table-top boxed game are expected to launch in Spring 2020 on Kickstarter.
