HairMax LaserComb Expands Its Market Leadership with Introduction of Four New Models
Boca Raton, FL, April 10, 2010 --(PR.com)-- Lexington International, LLC manufactures the HairMax LaserComb, which is the only home-use laser phototherapy device FDA 510(k) cleared for marketing for the treatment of hereditary hair loss in males. Lexington is pleased to announce the introduction of the newly ergonomically designed, cordless HairMax LaserComb Premium in the United States based on receipt of FDA Clearance for marketing (K093499).

In conjunction with this U.S. offering, Lexington will be introducing three new models of the HairMax LaserComb into international markets to offer a selection of devices to suit all audiences. The three new devices now being marketed internationally are the HairMax Advanced 7, the HairMax Lux 9, and the HairMax Professional 12 models with 7, 9, or 12 laser beams respectively. The HairMax Professional model will be offered to clinics and hair salons outside of the U.S. Features of these devices are:

- Rechargeable System - The new HairMax Premium, HairMax Lux 9 and the HairMax Professional 12 models utilize a lithium ion rechargeable battery operating system for cordless operation.

- Cordless or Direct Powered - While the HairMax Premium, HairMax Lux 9 and HairMax Professional 12 models are now battery powered, the devices can also be used with a power cord (supplied), plugged into a wall outlet.

- Device Cradle – allows for convenience storage of the device when not in use and also serves as a charging station.

- Optimal Laser Delivery - All of the new models employ the HairMax patented hair parting teeth mechanism. Each laser is aligned with the teeth of the HairMax to part the hair and create an unobstructed path for the laser to reach the scalp. In addition, each new model incorporates advanced electronic circuitry to monitor the battery level to ensure the optimum laser strength is being delivered.

- The HairMax Advanced 7 Model utilizes replaceable AA batteries and provides an economical way to treat hair loss.

The newly designed HairMax LaserComb Premium model now marketed in the U.S. has the same proven efficacy as the original device. With these introductions, the HairMax LaserComb has now evolved into a state of the art, ergonomic design. While the new HairMax Advanced 7, HairMax Lux 9 and HairMax Professional 12 models ARE NOT available for purchase in the U.S., steps are underway to gain marketing clearance from the FDA in the future.

The HairMax LaserComb has always enjoyed high consumer satisfaction by providing effective treatment of hereditary hair loss to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. Lexington, in response to the extensive feedback from users, realized that there was a need to develop a more user friendly and up to date ergonomic design. With this objective in mind, Lexington embarked on a development program in 2009 to bring a cordless model to market. The newly designed HairMax LaserComb models now offer the ideal therapy for treating certain classes of hereditary hair loss. The HairMax combines convenience, proven efficacy, and FDA clearance for marketing which no other marketed home use laser phototherapy device can claim.

Randy Veliky, COO at Lexington commented: “The newly designed HairMax LaserComb models are a culmination of a major design initiative that assured that the most up to date and user friendly device are brought to market.” Further Mr. Veliky states: “We believe that the newly designed HairMax LaserComb models will expand the market for the HairMax by offering a wider choice for all audiences.”

David Michaels, Managing Director said: “We are pleased to bring to market the newly designed, HairMax LaserComb models which will further solidify our leadership position. They are designed to be appealing not only for consumers, but as counter top displays and will generate interest from media audiences.” Mr. Michaels also commented, “We are committed to a program of product development to grow our product line and assure that the devices we market will continue to meet the needs of the millions of individuals suffering from hair loss.”
